Product leader and entrepreneur, building consumer products at LinkedIn to make a positive impact on every professional in the world.
As the product lead for the Feed Engagement team, I am responsible for the product strategy for feed engagement and lead teams across several product groups driving growth and engagement for millions of LinkedIn member every day through our homepage, iOS and Android mobile apps.
Prior to joining the feed team, I led the teams building LinkedIn’s SlideShare mobile apps from the ground up to millions of engaged users.
I furthermore spent two years at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) where I earned my MBA. At the GSB, I focused on honing my entrepreneurship, technology and leadership skills and led the Outdoor Adventure Club.
Before moving to the Silicon Valley, I was the founder and CEO of Innovit (now rebranded as Icelandic Startups) – a leading Entrepreneurship Center in my native Iceland. I truly enjoyed my time at Innovit where I had the opportunity to learn from building my own company, successfully raise seed funding and work with hundreds of startups to create a lasting impact on the local economy. In addition to providing mentorship, Innovit runs the largest entrepreneurship competition in Iceland and hosts international events and programs such as Startup Weekend, Startup Reykjavik (a TechStars global network accelerator) and Global Entrepreneurship Week.
I am a self-driven product guy who enjoys working with some of the smartest people around to build products which drive a global impact. I thrive in an environment where I continue to learn and grow, both professionally and personally. Some of the skills I’ve picked up along the way include mobile development, team building, growth-hacking and user acquisition, fundraising, monetization, developing agile product roadmaps, software development, user research, design-thinking, online and offline marketing, public speaking, and media communication.
